Getting rid of the CB1100

I've been lurking the forums here for a few months trying to get inspiration on my recently purchased CB1100. I thought this would be the bike of bikes for a while. I haven't been all that pleased with it.

I bought a 2Bros Exhaust and P1X insert, hoping for a little bit of harrumph, but the bike just doesn't produce that much power. I'm surprised, it certainly lugs well and you can just about idle around in 5th gear, but it doesn't have the acceleration that I expected.

I also upgraded the suspension, HyperPro shocks tuned by EPM, made a huge difference in the rear, but I feel like the front makes it all goofy. Maybe this bike isn't what I thought it was.

The bike is certainly beautiful, and I want to keep it, but I am miserable in that every time I want to ride the bike, I know the Grom is the right choice to take for a get away! How sad is that!

Someone talk some sense into me! Huh

I love my CB, and did ~500 miles on her yesterday, but like I told my friend who bought one as his only street bike, and has all kinds of grandiose plans to make it fast,,,, Dude. You bought the wrong bike. It's a fun bike, but by todays standards it is not fast and never will be. The japanese write up about the bike talks about how they purposefully made it slow and handle ... relaxed.

Great bike. Can't hold a candle to my 'fast' bike, a yamaha FZ-09 with all the suspension replaced and exhaust replaced.

The CB is NOT a fast bike by todays standards.
