That would be my reply too.
I always bag and note every single factory part I have removed from a bike as I do mods. The day will probably come when a new owner may want those parts.
When I passed my 1989 Honda Hawk on to a new owner he got the original seat and any and all factory nuts, bolts and bits too - whether he wanted them or not

It was up to him to do as he wished with them.
