Anti-theft systems?

I lock the forks but that's about it. I try to park in conspicuous areas, not in hidden places where a thief would have privacy. If I'm staying in a motel in a really bad part of town (which would be unusual), the bike comes in the room with me. My biggest concern is vandalism, not theft. It would suck to walk out to your bike only to find the tank keyed, seat ripped, tires slashed and cables torn off. I'd rather they just take the bike.
