Its about the most upright standard regular relaxed seating position possible. I think if you cant get comfortable on this bike then maybe its not the bike for you. Ive had over 20 bikes and this is kne of the most comfortable so far. All my mods were for pure looks. Maybe you need an ultra classic or a goldwing, lol.
For someone of 33 years old, saying I need a hip replacement is not something you expect to hear. That's perhaps a little bit of an exaggeration, but I do have problems with the right side of my hip and having long legs on a bike with a relatively compact rider triangle is not a recipe for comfort. It actually feels really natural and comfortable when I first get on, but after a half hour, my hip starts getting tight.
I tried a set of adjustable pegs and found the 1/2 inch of extra distance was noticeably better. The problem was the adjustment arms space the pegs out and make my boots hang up in an awkward way. Also, the rear brake pedal doesn't have enough and just mentioned to compensate for the lower pegs. So, a taller seat is in order. A seat pad would probably help, but I can always tell I'm sitting on something that doesn't belong there and I want to achieve a particular look with the bike.
It's only money, right?
