I'd love to have a light weight 650-800cc solo sport tourer with fairing/ bags and most importantly shaft drive... and I figure I have 1/2 dozen years or so for them to come out with it to benefit me. Something along the lines of an FJ09 with shaft drive...and good fueling.
If they don't, it will be a lowered SV 650 or a Versys 650 or ???? Still have places to ride to!
When I had my last V-strom 650, I swore my next bike would be shaft drive. What do I do instead? Buy 2 more bikes with chain drive.
I'm with you, I love the lack of maintenance a shaft requires. I wish more bikes used them, but I'd be happy with a belt. Less weight than a shaft and even more maintenance free than a shaft are nice advantages.
