I had issues with the stock seat. I always felt like I was sliding forward so I took the seat to an auto upholstery shop and asked him what he could do. He quickly suggested forming more of a saddle seat so he added foam to the front, took 2'" off the butt back and shaved some of the foam out of the butt. He reused the stock cover and charged me $85. I was happy with the looks and even happier with the effectiveness.

Thats a great idea White Dog, I have a friend who runs a similar shop and hes a motorcyclist. Hes done this very thing for other bikers-modified the stock seat to get a better fit, or has added/ changed the foam inside the seat (to memory foam for instance). I plan to give this a try before the season starts-less expensive that an aftermarket.
I like the mod your guy did to your seat-I will copy that I think..(the slight rise to prevent slipping forward).
