I wanted to get this over with so I could enjoy my summer.
Unfortunately Penny and I ran into two bad snow storms going to and from the hospital. What is usually is a 1/2 hour drive was an hour or more. On the day of my surgery we left for the hospital at 5AM in a snow storm with howling winds.
My birthday is right in the middle of the Tulip Festival, and is usually the day of my first ride of the year. That is also the time when the leaves on the trees start to open. Although my cold weather clothes are required, it is usually a comfortable and pleasant ride.
