On the 3rd day, I rolled into the Big Easy.
Once I settled in, I removed the windshield and went for a ride through the Crescent City.
I must say, the weather down in New Orleans that day was unseasonably warm.
Started at the French Quarters Market Square, where I munched down on some alligator sausage:
Across from Market Square, this car caught my attention...
Then I strolled through Jackson Square and watched all the action going on in there:
After that, I rode the mighty cb1100 through the warehouse district, and stopped along Magazine St. to this uptown Irish pub for a dozen raw oysters to go w/ a pint of ale.
After that, I walked down Magazine st, checked out all the nifty specialty shops,
Along Magazine St, I spotted this gorgeous machine...had to take a picture of this bad baby. I absolutely LOVE THIS BIKE!!!!!
After I came down to earth, I took a ride through uptown and stopped on St Charles St. to stroll along Audubon Park and to visit Loyola University. My son's thinking about applying to go there, so I made a quick stop to tour the campus and talk w/ admissions.
As nighttime rolls through the Big Easy, I did some bar hopping on the CB1100.
In the French Quarters, it's nearly impossible to find parking space. Not on a motorcycle, though. I found ample parking spots throughout the Quarter. This spot here's right next to Washington Square, on Frenchman St.
Around the corner from where I'm parked....THIS!
It's not even Mardi Gras time yet, and all the drunks are already out and about! I LOVE THIS PLACE!
