Funny this should come up.. the low cost house brand all weather cover that I bought for keeping my CBR 250 outdoors has started falling apart after only 2 years or so.. (the fabric is disintegrating at the stress points).
The quality covers that I'd used in decades past during apartment life lasted way more time than this.
I'll be ante-ing up for a Dow WeatherAll (or whatever it's called) cover to replace it. Higher cost, but it'll last longer.
A good cover does wonders.. I don't have a garage for my car (the motorcycles get the garage, priorities, you know).. It's been kept in the driveway under a premium weathershield cover for all of it's, so far, 15 years since new.. and it still looks new. FWIW, the weathershield car covers seem to last about 5 years or so of continuous outdoors use.
