Henrik, you made the right choice. I have owned about 8 or 10 BMWs but I'm afraid I'll never buy another one. They are having some serious reliability issues the past 7 or 8 years. And, IMO, they are cramming them with the latest electronic and computer "features" that few people want.
A final drive failure costs 2K to repair at a dealer, and a clutch job can run.... Wait for it.... Sit down.....4K! ( Before anyone calls B.S. on that, I have the invoice and the paid receipt from A&S BMW in California that did a clutch job on a RT-P before I bought it, and charged $4,100. And the bike had only 30,000 miles on it at the time. )
