Of formerly owned CBs, I'd have to say my original 1979 CBX was pretty special. I think it was the FIRST Honda to make over 100HP. I only owned it for a few years, but compared to my new CB1100, there is no comparison in the comfort department. The CBX was horrid! I also liked my 1992 750 Night Hawk, which like my CB1100, was painted black and looked absolutely gorgeous. Perhaps my favorite Honda was my original (bought new) 1965 CB305 SuperHawk. I never had one, but the CL250/305 Scrambler was THE BIKE to have back in my high school days. It had straight upswept twin pipes on the right side with only a butter fly swivel cutout at the oulet tips to help mute the exhaust. That Scrambler sounded GREAT!
Honorable mentions: My 1997 Super Blackbird, painted black of course and my early 90s Honda Magna 750.
As far as other makes, my favorites are my currently owned Triumph Bonneville T100 and before that my all black 2004 Daytona 955i SE (Special Edition). Although way too much of an uncomfortable sport bike ride for me, I loved to open up the latter on freeways, because it had an awesome sounding induction howl that gave me goose bumps at full throttle. I think that bike at 147hp was good for about 170 mph bone stock too!
