Both my CB and my Hawk GT draw a fair amount of attention. The difference being the CB draws attention from those who are familiar or have an interest in motorcycles as well as those who don't but just wanted to comment on how attractive/cool/interesting they thought the bike was. My Hawk GT on the other hand draws a lot of guys in as well, but they're bike guys (those who owned one and wished they hadn't sold it, those who wish they had bought one, those whose buddy had one, those that want to know if it's for sale, etc.). In fact, I was one of those guys when it comes to the Hawk. Before I got back into motorcycling and found a Hawk of my own, I'd strike up a conversation with anyone I saw that was associated with a Hawk. I suppose I still do for that matter, lol.
Speaking of attention grabbing vehicles: here in car-crazy USA the attention bikes draw pale in comparison to the interest people had in the '67 Camaro Convertible that I used to own. Anyone that's uncomfortable with the amount of attention the CB1100 draws would be afraid to leave the garage with that car. I felt like I could have been Elvis when I was behind the wheel of the Camaro (minus the fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich he would have stopped for). On more than one occasion I literally had girls screaming and waving at me from their cars or the sidewalk (this actually scared me the first time it happened). That car sucked people in like moths to a porch light on a summers night. Sadly, it also managed to attract car thieves.
