Thanks popgun and ClassicVW. I'll look it over next week. I'll be using The ferret's first service thread too for oil and chain tolerance. This is only my 2nd bike in 3 years since quitting 25yrs ago. I have a 81 CM400A which is a big difference from the CB1100. I am so glad for modern social media and for the people that participate in this forum. It's a wealth of information of hundreds of combined years of riding experience and specific knowledge on this particular bike. Over the last year or more I've probably read 75% of this entire forum without even owning the model. So thanks everyone for sharing.
