NC Residents and Taxes

I trying to negotiate 2014 CB1100

For those living in NC how much taxes you paid in top of the retail.
I mean....Hypothetically
Bike was $10000 Taxes were 6% %5 4%....
Whats the NC % of taxes at purchase time?

Another thing what other fees you had to pay?
Dealers fee and Set up fees?

I'm trying to buy cash on hand but think i'm been taken advantage off.

I'm also in NC.

I purchased my new, still in the crate, 2014 CB 1100 last week.

I paid for the bike, and transported it home with a trailer, opting to take care of the paperwork myself.

I just went to DMV yesterday; the state tax on a motor vehicle, referred to as highway use tax, is 3% of the sale price, without any minimum stated by another forum member. Title fee was $52, and registration was $24, totaling $76. The only additional tax is property tax, levied by the county in which you reside; you have the option to pay this property tax at the DMV, or the county can bill you.

The dealer I purchased mine from has ONE new 2014 remaining, which can be purchased for $7,498, TOTAL, without ANY additional fees, except the aforementioned DMV fees, plus county and state taxes.

TOTAL cost, including DMV fees, county and state taxes is ~ $7,800 – $7,900, depending on the county in which you reside, their tax rate(s), and whether you're in, or out of, city limits, and subject to county taxes and/or additional city taxes.
