What motorcycle would you buy next?

Be prepared for some sticker shock as I just brought home a new Z900RS today after shopping for a few weeks both new and used.

Last new bike I bought was a BMW R9T back in 2018. I bought a leftover 2021 in the most undesirable color imaginable so my deal was an exception vs the rule. The dealer I bought from had the bike discounted a decent amount but they were charging $900 freight and $800 dealer setup fee on the back end….

One DFW Honda dealer had a 1300 mile 2019 model priced decent but their back end charges were $650 for reconditioning and $550 document fees…

From looking at several different dealers it seemed the going rate was around $700 freight and $450 dealer prep, don’t know if dealers are waiving either.

That seems too much to me...I've purchased 2 new bikes in the last year and a half and in both cases the fright and setup were around 800 for both. One of the bikes was already discounted over 30 percent and the other was a bike that has been selling quickly so I didn't negotiate more on the matter.

This might vary by region, but for awhile I know dealerships in my area were trying to add on "dealer markup" which I refused to pay and didn't continue with the sale.
