I was looking at Jefferson Ave, on Google Maps. I would wear High Viz gear and a Yellow helmet and have louder pipes so people can see and hear me. I ride in Melbourne FL when I am down there sometimes and it's similar. Red Ducati Multi (My brother's), Red pants, yellow helmet. Everyone saw and heard me for sure. I looked like a two wheeled Fire Engine. They heard those Duc pipes I'll tell you that! I think if people see you they will respect that. Otherwise I would drive a fun stick shift car and have a family car as well. - While crashing in 2010 on my way over the bars I thought, "Couldn't you just take up fishing or something!" - But yeah, it's not an unreasonable thought. Some of us live in quieter areas than others.
