Interesting! I changed my stock shocks for the same reason. Even on the softest setting my back would feel a jolt on every noticeable bump. The new Icons were made for my body weight (they call you to find out your weight and how you ride before they ship them) and have adjustable rebound capabilities. They have completely corrected the ride, so looking for a more rigid suspension isn't the only reason for new shocks.
