For me, the best thing is to ride a new bike as stock as you can for a good 1000 miles, and then think about any upgrades. Give it a chance to tell you what it does / doesn't have, what it can / can't do for you. Then you'll make decisions that are based on the bike you have, not on what you think it has/doesn't, decisions based not on past experiences with other bikes, but on the CB1100. Now the first thing you just HAVE to buy is.... : )
