Hoping the weather will be nice over the holidays so I can take one for a ride to see if I’d like it. My reservation would be easy parts availability. There’s a long-time dealer near me, but US online options appear to be a bit scant.
Those video reviews have probably sold more bikes than any advertising...who knows, maybe some of them are directly supported financially by a brand.
The guy I bought my INT from ordered an RE touring seat and an RE rear rack. Both items shipped from India and he said they arrived in just under a month. The tracking info indicated that the items were held up in customs for over two weeks.
A month isn't terrible, but it's something to consider / plan for.
Reading online stories, something simple like RE oil filters were difficult to come by during covid, but many things were. Their availability is seemingly better now and can be found online for about $15 each. The valve check interval is only 3,000 miles--but looks relatively easy to do.
Since you like the INT review videos, maybe you'd like to see the 300 mile service which includes a valve check.
The original owner said he changed the oil but hadn't checked the valves when he sold me the bike with 700 miles. I'll likely check them over the winter or early spring.
