I don't think the CB is heavy versus huge cruisers and full scale touring rigs. IMHO it is heavy (and top heavy) for the kind of bike it is, though. That 550 lbs of 'road hugging' weight might give it a sense of stability at 65mph on the highway, but does nothing for spirited riding or low speed / no speed maneuvering. I do take extra care with it.
