Hard question, eats leafs shoots. Part of me would want the 2014 just because it's newer, has 6 gears which I'd like. And I like the dials a bit better too. Another part of me would want the 2013 because I prefer the colour and I'd be happy to save a thousand bucks. I've ridden my 2011 with only 5 gears for a reasonable distance now and it's just fine.
The upshot of all that is I'd be happy with either of them. If money's an issue or you want some cash to spend on modifications, get the 2013.
