Perhaps Honda America still remembers how the 2014 Deluxe killed the 2014 Standard sales, and don't want to see the RS do the same to the 2017 EX.
Or maybe it's just numbers. Over the years there has been a large number of CB1100s sold to those of us that appreciate a heritage styled motorcycle. Add to that the number the used CB1100s that have been offered for sale as well. I don't think we are a large segment of Honda motorcycle sales, and the small retro sales market may be reaching a saturation point.
Or maybe they are just waiting to see how the 2017 EX sells, before bringing the RS to America. Only time will tell.
