Hhmmm ... 'Character', that's a handy word to describe the collection of attributes about objects or living beings. I'd say that every bike has character because, like beauty, it's in the eye of the beholder. Our CB has 'character', it's a bit plush, smooth, slightly chubby, overweight, and very dependable. Some may say it's boring but I prefer that 'type' of character to something that is rough, too loud, lethargic, smelly and unreliable. The incredibly boring BMWK100RT i owned for just three months had character, i just didn't like it, however my much less refined VTR1000 and I became very good friends for quite some time. So to me it's the 'type' of character that matters, that's what keeps me coming back for more long after the honeymoon period is over.
