Tried registering and titling the bike yesterday and of course got the dreaded "I work for the DMV so I can have a horrible attitude and loudly talk to you like you're a child" attitude. 2 out of the 4 women working there were just nasty and rude and this was not the first time I've witnessed this type of behavior from them. If you have the slightest deviation from a normal, quick transaction they jump all over you.
I finally spoke much louder to them than they were to me.
"Listen! I just bought a motorcycle and want to title and register it! I understand you need certain documents in my case because of this dealer's move but that DOES NOT give you the right to speak to me this way. Does it? DOES IT!!! I asked you a question!" She was a little nicer then but now I understand why you can't carry a gun in the DMV even if with a CCW.
The bike had sat since 2013 and the dealer moved since then. In the move they changed name so title/Cert of origin had one name (similar but different) and a different dealer number than the bill of sale. So the dealer has to get two "reassignments" to me.
I understand rules and regulations but standing in line 3x at the busy end of the month after going back and forth with the dealer telling them the DMV needed a specific form/document filled out and then them trying to fax basically a letter that the DMV saying "we're this dealer now" was a complete waste of 4 hours.
Still waiting on the salesman to take care of this today when he said yesterday he would have it handled.
So now I can only look at the bike.
I will be going to another DMV once I get the proper documents further from my home just for the sole purpose of NOT having to see those female dogs at the other DMV again.
