G'day Wolfgang, and welcome to the forum.

I think I'm right in saying the speed limiter is contained in the ECU. If you have it reflashed to remove the rev limiter, you can also have the speed limiter removed. A number of members have done it. Don Guhl Motors seems to be the go to place in the US. If you searched on Guhl, you'd find lots of references.
