They send you a kit to measure your noggin and you post it up on their site with the access code they send you. Within a couple days you get a detailed report of how each model will fit you, including ideal shapes and sizes.
I bought a Shoei Qwest based on their measurements. It fits perfectly - if a tad bit more snug - but I think the Arai Quantum I had before had gotten a little loose fitting after 8 years.
Thanks for posting this. I read it and ordered the measurement kit- and the Shoei Qwest was also the best fitting option of all the helmets they listed.
I didn't buy it from them though because even with the $15 credit I was still able to get it (much) cheaper elsewhere.
When it arrived, I was amazed at how well it fit- just a nice even pressure all around my head- except the cheek pads on my jaw was a little tight. Shoei makes optional cheek pads in both a size thinner and a size larger so I ordered the thinner ones. Now everything fits perfect. I should have done this years ago.
I also purchased a pinlock visor, and 2 pinlock inserts- a normal clear one and one that is clear at night but darkens when the sun hits it.
And lastly- I ordered a set of the ear pocket foam inserts. I didn't know until I was looking around at various sites- the helmets have empty spots to insert speakers into- but if you are not putting in speakers they make foam pads that fit into the space. They should help a little with wind noise.
