I am about to order a set of Icon shocks (7610-1507) for my 2014 CB1100. As I'd also like to make the forks more compliant over bumps, I may consider an interim solution ..... a set of progressively wound springs, amd playing with fork oil wt and level, before resorting to the Traxxion Dynamics solution (Race Tech emulators, new springs, new damper rods.) The T Dynamics solution requires dismantling the forks, and if the progressive springs would cure the problem, it'd be a much simpler solution.
Questions:
a. has anyone here replaced their stock fork springs with progressively wound springs? If so
- what brand?
- what model?
- what weight springs?
- what's your weight?
- results?
One more question. In looking at the top of my fork, it looks like the fork springs could possibly be replaced with the forks still on the bike. Even the handle bar appears to be out of the way. Of course, the front of the bike would have to be supported (a jack under front of sump)
Thanks,
Bob
