In the case of cars, I do all the work myself due to still being in the automotive industry.
It's better for everyone that I don't tell you how many butchers and rip offs I've seen... and their comebacks that I've had to fix...but it doesn't mean that every mechanic is an idiot.
When it comes to replacing motorcycle tires, I ride my CBs 100 miles round trip to my trusted and good Honda motorcycle dealer, not Powersports, and never got a burn.
They always give me a loyalty discount ++, and pay for their tire service.
While there, I buy oils, filters, pads, s/plugs ...OEM parts from them also at a discount, which I replace myself at home.
It all worked out when I bought a 2013 CB1100 demo with 3000 miles on it.
