My story is not much different.
Saw the latest mockup on the web with the cool rank and the 4 into 4, heard rumors they may come Stateside. Waited. Waited some more. Then the Honda site posted them! Joy.
My local dealer, (now closed btw), never gave a firm date for getting one in. All I had to go on was magazines and some early videos.
When I learned the dealership 60 miles away was getting one, I had them call me as soon as it was available. Got there as it was in the crate. Didn't even wait for them to prep it before I started the buying process. I also neglected to tell the wife I was trading in.
Bonus, I got to peel a lot of the protective film they shipped it with. It was so much fun.
