I believe that Scoobynut was referring to the price paid by the residents living in the area. Think of an equation that involves family, cost of living, work opportunities, climate, scenery, recreational activities, etc.. We all have different priorities so that equation works out differently for all of us. For many of us, that equation also changes over time as we grow older. I've lived in a number of places where things like motorcycles, cars and houses were far less expensive than where I live now. But the savings I could have realized on those things wasn't worth it to me. For me, those items simply weren't of enough value when I was stuck in an area that I didn't enjoy.
