So far I've hated ABS on a bike.. it was on my ktm990 and it near killed me twice. Once it was my fault for not shutting it off when on dirt, hit the brake to slide the rear to make a turn and it engaged and I almost went down in a ditch.
The other was a panic stop. I hit my brakes hard to avoid a car that pulled out in front of me. While the abs did its job, which I am grateful for, the studdering or shuddering affect upset the bike enough that I couldn't do an emergency swerve.
It's great if all you have to do is a straight abrupt stop.. I don't like it as it locks you into that move only. In the case of my emergency stop. I got lucky as the driver of the car behind me had the forethought to brake and turn onto the shoulder. If he hadn't, I'd be the middle of a meat sandwich.
I'd rather just my judgement and skill set (Sipde) along with my skill to avoid crap than rely on gadgets. Not to mention said gadgets are expensive to fix. I wouldn't buy anything that doesn't allow em to be shut off..

That and I've already got a '13... My intent was next year to find a dlx or an ex and set it up for longer rides, but this price rocks...

OMG... $2,850 for a 2013, with what looks like luggage. Should I lie to my wife about this having ABS, lol? I said I wouldn't buy a bike without it but this price is STUPID!
