Strange, how things work out....
For the past month or so, I've been going to my local Honda dealer to soak up the new '17 CB1100 EX, which is always sitting right next to their new leftover '14 Standard. No doubt, I prefer the '17 EX. Love that red color, love the chrome, love just about every piece on it except for the two-tone engine treatment, and the deletion of the green face for the instruments.
Regardless, I love it, and definitely prefer it to the black '14 Standard. All things being equal, I'd take that '17, for sure.
The thing is, I remain torn regarding the CB1100 vs the T120, with just the slightest lean now to the Honda. It's bad. I really can't decide.
That being the case, what I concluded is that since I can't decide, and since I don't like the '17 that much more than the black '14, as in nearly twice as much, why not let the dollars and sense be the determining factor? A brand-new black '14 for half the price of either the '17 Honda or Triumph seems like a good way to break the stalemate, right? I could at least somewhat justify that number, while keeping my Yamaha.
So, that's what I did. I went back to the Honda shop today to buy the leftover '14 for $7K OTD, factory heated grips included/installed.
AND THE DARN THING WAS GONE!
Someone bought it Saturday, the sales guy told me. The thing has sat there lo these many years, and when I finally decided to grab it, someone beat me to the punch.
Jeez.
