So, since it's quiet i have a question ( oh boy ) ; as i have a 2010 cb1100 which does the 1500 rpm. idle when cold but
does not appear to have an iacv installed, i can't find it anywhere on the throttle body.
what exactly is it that the iacv does, is it opening the throttle shaft slightly or is it a moving piston that regulates the idle airflow according to the temperature?
In any case has anybody tried to disconnect the iacv electrical connector when the engine is at operating temperature ( ie in the correct state for normal operation ) and leave it disconnected to see if the problem still occurs ?
Reason for asking is that although i don't have the issue it intrigues me no end and i also have a hornet 900 which is similar in the way that it has a tps, but no idle control valve and it starts just fine every time without using the manual choke, just wondering;
