Love the NRTM Forumula. Thank you Team Oz for developing and posting it and thank you kennyw for translating to American. Lastly, thank you Flynrider for pointing out why we, or at least those of us who get less than consistent tank-to-tank mileage, might find this calculation useful sometimes.
My low fuel indicator has gone on at 100 miles and at 130 miles. Like InHouseBob, there are often physiological reasons for me to stop and like The Ferret and others, there are usually enough gas stations along my route that NRTM’s Law need not be calculated. There are times, though, when it will come in handy.
