SSL ("https protocol") is of some utility for low to moderate value Internet commerce; to require or demand it for on-line publications such as this forum is just an example of incompetence and/or debatable intentions of those that push it across the web.
Further discussion of this topic hardly belongs in a motorcycle forum; I only urge the owner(s) of this publication to keep simple http access alive, even if for some pragmatic reasons the succumb to the push for obtaining the ssl certificate.
May I however suggest the show of some backbone here? After all, one can't ride a motorcycle without it...
