The thing is, despite your romanticized notions of days gone by, this new CB1100 will undoubtedly prove to be more durable and reliable than any of the bikes you remember so fondly from the halcyon '60s and '70s.
Simply put, the current bike is even better built now than it was then. It will do everything better, longer, and more reliably.
