I think one of the things that keeps motorcycling fresh and exciting for many is the winter layup. It's not like you can ride every single day which could become monotonous. So when the good days finally do come arounud, boy do you savor them
I ride most days even though I live in a winter layup area (snowbelt of mid west) but I am a driven soul when it comes to motorcycling and am willing to put up with those not so perfect days and do miss some days due to just dangerous conditions in winter. I've missed 13 days this year. 27 days last year (although some of those were for medical reasons). Honestly, not sure if I would have the same drive to ride, if the weather were perfect every day.
I do know I couldn't live where there was technically only a 5 or 6 month riding season.
