Just thinking out loud here:
To my memory I have never had any close close calls in my 13+ years of driving an automobile with striking birds on the road. Could be wrong, but I think I would remember such a thing. In my street motorcycling career which isnt even 1 year old yet, I have had many close calls with birds. Could it be that they are less aware/cautious of motorcycles in general? Could have to do with the relative small size of a motorcyclist compared to an automobile, or the fact that they are less frequently seen than automobiles on the road.
Maybe they dont see us until it's too late, just like most drivers........
Am I comparing the attentional capacity of most drivers to birds......? Perhaps labeling automobile drivers as bird-brained...?
Yes, yes I am. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
