I am looking at a 2014 CB1100. I have four bikes at the moment. Two dual sports, Versys 650 and Harley Davidson Softail. I would like to blend the Versys and Softail into one bike. The CB1100 seems ideal. Cool looks with good handling and reliability.
I mostly use the bikes for short trips around town. I may do some light touring. But such touring would be 300 to 400 miles per day leisurely touring.
I read through this entire thread. Great information. Makes me think CB1100 would be a perfect choice for me. I really like the look. And my first bike was a 1974 CB550 Four.
But I don't like selling and my wife already does not like four bikes in the garage. Kind of thinking she will like five even less.
OTOH - I have two boys who would gladly take a bike or two off my hands..... Hmmmm......
