I’ve only one bike: my CB1100. There’s no faring or windshield—there are more of you than you think, EmptySea and Rotor. Just a top box and room across the back seat for camping gear and clothes when I go touring on it. Which I do whenever I can. There are almost certainly better bikes for long distance touring, but the CB is quite capable of it and a joy to do it on.
I don’t mind the small tank capacity. There’s at least a couple of hours riding in it and every one should have a stretch and a break after a couple of hours. Stopping for fuel is a good excuse. However, in those parts of Australia where it can be a long way between petrol stations, a little planning is required.
