Not really the answer you are looking for but it sort of is....I have just put on a Bagster tank cover this afternoon. These are made in France (I believe) but are sold through a number of places. I used ebay. Anyhow, I was thinking how best to protect the tank sides from scuffs etc and considered wraps or adhesive rubber knee pads but I was a bit concerned about it 1) looking naff and 2) knackering the paint with the adhesive. This cover does fit very well, took about an hour to fit with a bit of faffing about. Only negative is that I can't see the lovely metallic finish anymore. Makes carrying a tank bag mega easy though. I have piece of mind the tank will be mint underneath. Just another option for you perhaps? Kind regards john
