The kill switch got me once too. One spring years ago when I had the NT650 Hawk, I rolled the bike out and killed the battery trying to start it. The Hawk was always an instant starter and I was stunned that it wouldn't start.
I never use the kill switch so didn't think to check it. Sure enough, and too late, I noticed the switch was in the no-run position. Obviously, as I was maneuvering the bike around I pressed it on.
Once the battery was recharged...VAROOOOMMMM!!!
