Hey in case this helps . . .
I sold my mint condition DLX about a month ago. It had under 2,000 miles on it, was totally stock other than the front engine guard, and in as close to just-rolled-out-of-the-showroom condition as any 4 year old bike could be.
I believe I listed it at $8,500. I sold it for $7,900.
I agree with those who have said it all comes down to finding that 1 buyer who wants precisely what you are selling. I posted my bike here and on Cycle Trader, and linked up with the buyer (who lived over 1,000 miles away) within 24 hours of listing the bike.
I'm also a big believer in selling during the May-June timeframe when possible, when motorcycle fever is most in the air in those portions of the country that have a cold winter where bikes need to be stored for a few months.
I wish the seller success in selling a beautiful and well-cared for machine!
