Here in the Northeast one might as well not be covered for four months a year. But that means no financing the bike (which requires full coverage 12 months). Add proper uninsured, underinsured and medical for yourself and it's a LOT of money in a very congested suburban environment where too many motorcycles are stolen and too many fast fools crash without insurance. You rural guys have it made. I'm having trouble saving motorcycle money with the cost of life in general going up all the time. As my insurance agent said; Get enough insurance to cover your medical costs for not at fault and also in general. Too often she said, bikers are under insured, thinking only about the bike. Many personal and company policies do not cover vehicle accidents.
