I still feel like the new kid on the block. I do not know the history of the Rallies or how they came to be.
I do know that the brief time I spent at this year's rally was amazing because of the people who attended and supported it from all over the world.
For what it is worth, I believe late April or late October would provide a more comfortable riding experience and may even allow more people to attend. However, I do not know whether August has historical significance for the Forum Founders. I remain old-school about traditions and about paying respect to those who came before me.
As for a location, Texas never makes anyone's short list.
The Texas Hill Country offers great motorcycling infrastructure, roads, natural beauty, and, in many areas, affordability. I will gladly invest the time and energy to write something up, but only if my betters ask. Let me know in this Thread if you want to compare it to other options. David
