I wonder why the cluch was replaced at 24k, I had 3 CBs with 56k kms, 134k kms and still have my dlx with 45k kms, and have never had any issues with the cluch

Here in Canada, we are awaiting the CB1000f arrivel...will it come..???

Thank you! I noticed it was just starting to slip when I would have it in 3rd or 4th and go to accelerate.  I honestly probably could have lived with it for another 24k miles but I wanted to make sure it was right.
When I opened things up the fibers looked relatively fine, maybe a little dark but still had bite left, the steels seemed to be a bit blued and kind of warped, on the same face through several of them there were stipes of shiny sections and some duller ones. I really have no idea what would have caused that, I don't think I abused the clutch too bad but I have been getting stuck in more stop and go traffic on the hotter days of summer, and lane filtering here in Oregon is a big no no still, so that could have something to do with it. Basket and hub both looked fine, and the springs are also probably fine. But I figured while I was in there. I might as well replace the springs, and the EBC clutch was decently inexpensive. The OEM steels and judder springs weren't too bad either. All in all I think parts were about $220 or so.

Definitely call your dealerships and keep an ear to the ground. They are selling about as fast as they can get them.
I'll do a quick post about my experience so far. Its not been too smooth so far unfortunately.
