Quote:The Super Hawk demanded involvement, but it did not require endless combat.
This line in the article struck a chord with me. I bought my first motorcycle in 1971, a second-hand CB175. The other people I met with motorcycles nearly all rode British bikes — BSAs, Triumphs, Ariels — all of which seemed to me to spend most of their time in bits on their garage floors and not a heck of a lot of time being ridden. They learned a lot about mechanics; I didn't learn much, but I had a lot of fun riding. Most of them ended up with Japanese bikes.
Sometimes the road not travelled is best left that way. (Jane Goodall)
