What did you do on or to your CB 1100 today

This was actually yesterday. Went to change oil and filter in the CB for the 21st time. Put it on the centerstand. Warmed it up. Put cardboard under it to protect the floor of the garage. Put my drain pan under it. Put on some rubber gloves. Removed the fill plug. Took a ratchet, extension and 17 mm socket and removed the drain plug. Took drain plug over to the workbench to clean old oil off and check crush washer while the old oil drained drained. Got new oil filter unwrapped. got oil filter cup and extension put together, turned around and saw an ever-increasing size puddle of oil spreading on the floor. Apparently, my plastic drain pan had a crack in the bottom of it. Arrgghhh. Removed the oil filter and began mopping up oil with paper towels. Waited until oil filter boss and engine sump quit draining. Cleaned surface and screwed on new oil filter hand tight, then installed drain plug and new crush washer, then carried drain pan and cardboard out of garage dribbling oil all the way arrggg. Paper towels, contact cleaner and kitty litter was used on spilled oil. What a mess! Added 4 qts 3 oz of GN4 10W30. Screwed the filler cap back on. Fired it up and watched the oil light go out, then checked for leaks. None observed. In another day or so I'll sweep up and throw out the kitty litter which is all over the garage floor with bikes parked on it.

Dang, I HATE oil!
