What did you do on or to your CB 1100 today
This thread affirms a few of my long held beliefs:

CB1100 owners love their motorcycles and part with them reluctantly. Many have seller’s remorse.

For all the grief given to Honda about the CB1100 being too heavy, too restricted, too whatever, those very “deficits” are what enable a CB1100 to go on forever.

A CB1100EX is faster in a quarter mile than most standard sports cars and everyday V8s on the road today.

Few riding situations give a motorcyclist the opportunity to take advantage of 160 HP unless they are running from Johnny Law.

The weight, which is often cited as a huge deficit, is what enables a CB1100 to be used as a tourer. By touring standards, it is a light motorcycle. The CB1100 is truly the last of the universal Japanese motorcycle, equally drivable in urban, rural, and touring settings.

Because it is a metal bike with brilliant finishes, it ages exceptionally well in all conditions. But in a covered garage, it can look like a show room motorcycle with a small investment in time and proper cleaning products.

Over 50% of all motorcycles running in the world are air-cooled because that engineering is simpler, easier to maintain, and incredibly reliable.

CB1100s often clock 45 MPG (5.23 L/100km) if ridden by a reasonably mature rider.

Worldwide beef production creates vastly more greenhouse gas emissions than all motorcycles combined.

And most importantly for you handsome devils, you look good standing next to and riding on a CB1100.

Have a great weekend and try to find some time to ride your beautiful CB1100. Be safe. David

The most sophisticated, smooth, perfectly engineered motorcycle I've ever owned. A pleasure in every way.
