I've remarked only recently that it seems very strange to me that a tiny market like Australia gets 4 colours and a huge market like North America gets 1.

The U.S. got the black standard '14 for just that year.  I thought for awhile of getting a blue tank to have 1 bike / 2 colors for my '17, but I think it was north of $1200 shipped (?), maybe more.

Very nice write up and good to see other parts of the world.  I'm sure I wouldn't enjoy long stretches of dirt / gravel on the CB1100, but every time I see a non-paved road sucuumb to the pavement, it makes that other part of me (namely, the DR650 part) a bit sad.
